People are out online dating in full force now that in-person dating has returned after the worst of the pandemic. The top dating apps have all seen their numbers boom since last fall—Match and OKCupid both grew over 20% last fall alone.
And in the most encouraging news: the pandemic seems to have impacted how mindful people are being on dating apps. One study showed that over 50% of online daters shifted to more intentional dating: being more upfront about what they want, looking for relationships rather than hookups, talking about serious topics earlier on, going on more dates and drastically decreasing ghosting.
There has never been a better time, at any age or on any app, to be an online dater. Go get out there!
