My Secret to Tracking Your Hinge Data

Here’s the quickest possible way to understand what’s working on your Hinge profile and what’s not:

KEEP TRACK.

Draw yourself a little template that looks like this:​

I personally like to use a notebook so I can write in it while looking at Hinge, but you could do this in the Notes app on your phone, too.

Over the course of the next month, add a little tick mark when someone likes a particular photo or comments on a particular prompt.

By the end of the month, maybe your note page will look like this:

You can learn so much from this data.

Looks like people enjoyed Prompt 2, but it didn’t inspire them to leave a comment. Is there a way to reword it to make it a better conversation starter?

No likes on Photo 2, but a lot of likes and comments on Photo 4—maybe that one should be higher up on your profile (and maybe it’s time to swap Photo 2 for a new one altogether).

Some likes on Photo 3, but no comments… could you add a caption to it?

All this incredible information is right there in your Likes tab, you just have to put in the few extra minutes of work to harness it.

Remember, nothing on your profile is set in stone—change it up any time to try out a new prompt or photo, and keep notes to see if it gets different traction!
