What I learned about love & dating at last week’s Global Love Conference
I was lucky enough to attend the 2-day Global Love Conference here in NYC last week (pictured above: what I wore and where I went 😊). And boy did I learn A LOT! I listened to experts talking about communication and conversation skills, sex & dating, trends in the online dating market (it’s still the way 60% of couples meet!), dating archetypes, and so much more. I’m really excited to share and will be doing just that over the next few weeks.
The main thing I came away with, though, is realizing there is a huge community of matchmakers and dating coaches around the world who cooperate to help their clients find love in a way that is ethical and collaborative. I used to think that I should only be referring just one trusted matchmaker out to my clients and community when in fact, there is no one-size-fits-all matchmaker. I may find someone to be exemplary to work with, but you might just not quite gibe. And then you’re left feeling like matchmaking is a dead end road for you.
So I’m here to say: that’s simply not the case! I now have met first hand dozens of matchmakers globally who might be a better fit for you than the select one or two I’ve been recommending the last few years. Different personality types, approaches, and price points.
